Mark 11:22-26
And Jesus replied, "Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, if you say to this mountain; 'Get up and throw yourself into the sea.' and have no doubt in your heart but believe that what you say will happen, it will be done for you. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it shall be done for you. And when you stand to pray, forgive whatever you may hold against anyone, so that your divine Father may also forgive your sins."
Jesus invites us to ask with faith and perseverance, until God assure us that our prayer have been heard or else helps us understand that what we asked for was not good for us, nor was it the will of God.
Matthew 6:33-34
'Set you heart first on the kingdom and justice of God and all these things will also be given to you. Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Jesus wants us to take the risks for what is true, rather than worrying about our security and future. We are called to battle everyday to win more justice, beauty and greatness, and so we must forget ourselves, sacrifice our own interests. Perhaps we have to dedicate ourselves to apostolic work with little or no remuneration.
